About Us

Who We Are

The Kenya Bioimaging Consortium aims to enhance life science research in Kenya by promoting the integration and use of advanced bio-imaging technologies. Given that microscopy and imaging are essential in modern science, KBIC strives to create a robust environment where scientists can utilize modern equipment, specialized knowledge, and collaborate.

Focus

Key Focus Areas

To enhance research capacity, KBIC focuses on three key areas:

Developing Skills

Providing Technology

Sharing Knowledge

The consortium helps various scientists in biomedical, agricultural, environmental, and related fields access the necessary tools and methods to study and interpret complex systems that require image analysis.

Participation

Participation in KBIC is open to all PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, early-career researchers, senior scientists, technical scientists, and laboratory heads across all science disciplines from all over te country and the larger East Africa Region.

We welcome engagement with manufacturers, vendors, and funding bodies as well.
